Evaluation

Our task were to take photos of nature, decay and of school and to edit them and present them, we had to choose either one of nature or decay and i chose nature, so I took photos of different kinds of plants, animals and flowers, then I uploaded them to my blog, I put them into photoshop were i edited them using a wide variety of tools to make them more appealing and to show my skills and took screen shots of the first stage, mid editing and then the final piece and put them all into a document were i explained the processes and uploaded and presented them, for the photo essay I chose the topic of scooters like vespas and lambrettas and I chose lambrettas and took a wide variety of photos of my fathers lambrettas and his work shop showing all the spare parts and tools used in dealing with the scooter, I them put all the images together into a photo board type piece and upload them to my blog, For the school brochure task I took photo of the school and pupils in a positive mood doing formal and work-hard mood to show the good side of the school and like the nature photos edited them to make them more attractive and uploaded them, and use the more suitable ones for the brochure. I enjoyed taking nature photos as it was very interesting and it was fun to choose what was a good picture and good angle, it was enjoyable to check the photos I had taken and be proud of the good ones, I disliked the photoshopped editing as it was confusing and stressful to use and was very awkward and troubling to use.

This was my favorite photo that has also been photoshopped.
This is a similar image that has been proffessionally done.

My best photo compared to this professional photo, they have similar angles and they have similar effects with the sun in the background and the type of shot is similar because they are both using over the shoulder shots which creates a good effect because usually the main subject is of a good standard quality and the background is half blurred, comparing these two photo's gives me great confidence at photography because i can link similarities between the two photos which one of them was taken by a professional.

My least favourite photo

This is a similar professional photo

Comparing these two photos my least favourite to a similar photo, show why this is my least favourite because the one i took was meant to be advertising the school but it makes it look dark and scrubby when on the professional one she's smiling and looks like she's enjoying her self when on mine he looks depressed onto the shot comparison there kind of similar but the professional one, but the professional one has got better qualities.

I was independent in taking photos, I did get some assistance, but i took some photos and kept working on the ones i liked finding better angles and positions until I was finally happy, I took into account the positioning and what i was taking a photo of and worked out how it would look before i went and took the photo so that i knew what i was looking for and eventually the photos began getting more nicer looking and more professional.
I learned a new large variety of photoshop tools such as liquify and filter which are very useful tools i have not used before which came in very useful as i used them in almost all my photo edits and turned out to be the most useful tool, they were very useful and i am now more adapted to using photoshop with these useful editing tools which helped improve my pictures and skills on the software.
I used flicker and blogger to share my photos and present them as they are popular sites for viewing presentation and images, and it is a very good way to spread them around the internet, these sites were my best thought on sharing images and worked out very well in explaining and presenting my work around the web.
To get my feedback i used a website called "freedback" this is a site where you can create a form with unlimited questions and have people answer them i transferred it to my blog by copying the HTML of the questionnaire/form and pasted it in a blog post, with my feedback i gained knowledge on what i should change on my blog such as calm edits down and add more photos etc.. i also received a lot of positive feedback this improved my confidence in this subject matter and unit.

Photo essay 4

This is the original image with no edits added.
I have added a filter and adjusted it to make the scooter look lighter as if it is shining to add realistic effect and lighting for later details.
I have added the basic lens flare to the light on the front of the scooter to look as if the light were turned on and the lighting filter helped make this look more realistic, i like this edit as it is not to over done and looks authentic are believable.

Photo essay 3

This is the original image with no edits.
I am adding the poster edges filter and trying the panels to see how i can change how it looks.
This is the final image, i like it as it look slightly cartoony and has a very interesting look to it, this is why i like it as it looks abnormal and interesting.

Photo essay 2

This is the original photo, it has no edits it is just the original.
This photo has the sumi-e filter added to it and had the dials hanged to not insanely increase the lighting and look but to slightly improve the darkness and lighting.
This is the finished piece, it has the sumi-e filter and has had some liquify edits such as the screw in the center piece of the handle, i like it as the shading looks more appropriate and it is nice and simple but effective.

Photo essay 1

This is the original photo with no edits.
This is the photo with a lens flare added (as seen in the middle the edit s not complete yet) with the 105mm prime selection to add more of a realistic look to the photo and so far looks good.
I have added a filter called ink outline in order to change the brightness from dark to light so to add a realistic affect by the sun in the corner (lens flare) and there is also a slightly noticeable dark outline which is not entirly required but does add an interesting look.

Nature edit, swirling flower

Stage 1. this is the original photo with no edits.
Stage 2. In this photo i have added some liquifying effects using the swirl tool to make the flower itself look odd and give it a nice and interesting texture/shape.
Stage 3. This is the finished piece, I have completed editing the flower shape and made it look as interesting as possible and added a glaring lens flare in the middle to make it look even stranger and add nice looking effects as if it was an aline type plant.

edit of ally picture for nature edits

This is the original photo with no edits.
This is the photo with liquified edits and is about to have a filter.
This is the photo fully edited, it has cut out edits and has been liquified and this is the end version, i like this as it suits the ally or road style of the photo i have tested the liquid tool to make the pools look bigger and berry, and the cut out looks good with the holly bush.

Nature edit of flower in town

This is the original photo with no edits or effects.
This is the photo with some liquify edits and is about to have a filter added.
This is the finished photo with the sumi-e filter and liquify edits to give it the right feel, it looks quite dark as it is a flower in a dark place, i thought these filters and effects looked well with this piece and contrasted well.

Nature edit

This is the original picture of the flowers with no edits.
This is the photo in mid editing stage, it now has a lens flare and some liquify and will soon be filtered.
This is the fully edited picture with lens flare and some liquify edits and also has glow to add to the sun lighting, This looks better as it fits the style of nature and looks lighter and suits the look of the nature theme.

Photoshop edit

This is the original photo which is unedited and fresh from importing from the camera.

In this photo i am looking in filters to see what edit to use, i decided to choose one from sketch as it seemed appropriate
This is the finished piece as it is complete and i have added the stamp effect and varied the selections so that it would produce the effect that the picture is like a comic or something along those lines.

Photoshop edit of school

This is the original vanilla photo without ant effects or edits, i planned to make this one bright and cheerful and create a positive atmosphere.
I have added a lens flare as it is favored by me when creating a light and positive photo and i am in this photo adding diffused glow and finding the right setting.
This is the final design and i have finished getting the lens flare right and have got the diffused glow to look right and have also added colour saturation to give the photo a nice colorful look.

Image editing

This is the original photo with no edits .
This is me editing the photo to get it to the point i like by rendering and filtering.

This is the finished picture with the right filter and shading, i did not add sun flair as i did not like it.

Photoshop editing

This is the original picture above and the one below is the photoshop edited picture.
This is the image half way through editing, i have edited the saturation and am looking through the filters on which things to use (sun flare).
In this image i used lens flair and a lighting effect to give it a good and light almost heavenly look with a sun in the background, i liquified the characters faces so that they looked more lively and happy as it suits the idea and makes the scene a happy environment. This was my aim.
